London Theatre Week is back with over 80 shows from £15
by Best of Theatre Staff on in Special Offers
London Theatre Week has returned for its biggest edition yet, with more than 80 productions offering seats at £15, £25 or £35 from today until 13 September.
London Theatre Week is up and running again, and this year it arrives on a bigger scale than any edition before it. More than 80 productions are taking part, and each one is holding a set of flat ticket prices for the whole of the promotion, which runs from today, Monday 17 August, through to Sunday 13 September.
The pricing could hardly be simpler. Every show in the promotion is offering seats at one or more of three fixed prices — £15, £25 and £35 — so you know what a ticket costs before you start browsing, whether you are after a blockbuster musical or something smaller and newer.
The confirmed line-up reads like a sweep through the best of the West End. The Lion King and Matilda The Musical are both in, as are Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Musical theatre fans can pick from SIX, The Book of Mormon, Cabaret and The Devil Wears Prada, with many more titles joining the list.
It is worth planning around the closing date, because it is a firm one. London Theatre Week finishes on 13 September, which makes the four weeks from today the whole of the window. The cheapest seats in the lowest tier are always the first to disappear, so anything at the top of your list is better booked sooner than left until the final days.
Whether you have been meaning to see one of the long-runners for years or fancy taking a chance on a show you know nothing about, this is the stretch of the year when doing both at once becomes affordable. You will find the participating productions, along with the rest of the reduced-price tickets currently available, on our special offers page.
