The Snowman flies back into the Peacock Theatre this Christmas in a brand-new staging
Tickets are on sale now for The Snowman, which returns to the Peacock Theatre from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 in a completely new production directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, with prices from £18.
Christmas at the Peacock Theatre has a familiar shape to it, and it is back. Sadler’s Wells and Birmingham Repertory Theatre present a brand-new staging of The Snowman, on sale now for a run from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with an exclusive pre-sale offering no booking fees and tickets from £18.
Adapted from Raymond Briggs’s picture book, the show keeps Howard Blake’s score – and with it Walking In The Air – alongside the hand-crafted puppetry the production is known for. The story is unchanged: on Christmas Eve a boy’s snowman comes to life, is invited indoors, and then takes him hand in hand across a starlit sky, past Father Christmas, a herd of friendly reindeer and a party thrown by the Snowman’s friends under the Northern Lights.
The new version is directed and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Will Tuckett, whose credits include Into the Woods at the Royal Opera House and The Nutcracker for the National Ballet of Japan. Set and costume design comes from the multi-award-winning Anna Fleischle, whose recent work includes Punch and 2:22 A Ghost Story.
It remains an outing aimed squarely at families, and one you can happily arrive at in your pyjamas – the invitation to wear them is part of the pitch.
The Snowman plays the Peacock Theatre from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Tickets are on sale now.
