Jamie Bogyo plays Bram Stoker. He originated Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the West End, went on to Aspects of Love, and has since appeared in The Devil Wears Prada.
Glenn Adamson plays Oscar Wilde. He is best known as Strat in Jim Steinman’s Bat Out of Hell, a role he played in the West End, on tour in the UK, the United States and Australia, and in the filmed version released in cinemas in 2025.
David Bedella plays Henry Irving. He has won three Olivier Awards, for Satan in Jerry Springer: The Opera, Kevin Rosario in In The Heights and Lance in & Juliet. His other leading roles include Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Hedwig in Hedwig & the Angry Inch and the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Christina Bennington plays Florence Stoker. She originated Raven in Bat Out of Hell in the UK and North America, and played Veronica Sawyer in Heathers in the West End.
Jemma Geanaus plays Ellen Terry. Her West End credits are Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Shadowlands.
Matt Rixon plays Walt Whitman. He was Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the West End from 2022 to 2024, and Edna Turnblad in Hairspray. Oliver Stockley plays Lord Alfred ‘Bosie’ Douglas, and his West End credits include Oh, Mary!, Cabaret and Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends.
The book and lyrics are by Eric Rosen, who created the cult musical Venice. The music and lyrics are by Rodney Bush of the New York glam-rock band Tony & The Kiki, whose sound the producers describe as gritty New York glamour, disco decadence and high-voltage rock.
Séimí Campbell directs. He is an Irish director based in London and was Associate Director at the National Theatre from 2021 to 2024. His credits include Sweeney Todd for the National Symphony Orchestra, A Different Stage in the West End and on tour, and Songs For A New World at the London Palladium. The staging is a 90-minute one-act developmental concert.
The musical goes back to the years before either writer was famous, when two Dublin boys had made their separate ways to London. It follows their secret and not-so-secret gay lives, their climb through society, and a rivalry between them that has gone largely unrecorded and that fed into Dracula and The Picture of Dorian Gray. The billing is: “Two legendary writers. Two iconic monsters. One explosive, secret rivalry.”
Stoker Wilde runs at Wilton’s Music Hall in east London from Tuesday 27 October to Saturday 31 October 2026. The press performance is on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 7pm.
