Lucie Jones will play Jenna Rink again in the North American premiere of 13 Going on 30 – The Musical, which runs at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto from December 2026. The full company has been announced alongside her, and almost all of it comes from the West End.
Lucie Jones will return to the role of Jenna Rink in the North American premiere of 13 Going on 30 – The Musical. The production runs at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto from December 2026, for a strictly limited Christmas season, as part of the Mirvish 26/27 season. Tickets are on sale now.
Jones originated the part at Manchester Opera House, where the musical had its world premiere in September 2025 and played to sold-out houses. It is a WhatsOnStage Award winner. Her West End credits include Fantine in Les Misérables, Elphaba in Wicked and Jenna in Waitress, alongside Austenland, Pippin and A Christmas Carol. In 2025 Jones became the first musical theatre artist to headline a stage at Glastonbury Festival, and presents a weekly show on Magic FM.
Dom Simpson plays Matt Flamhaff, with credits including Moulin Rouge! at the Piccadilly Theatre and The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Grace Mouat is Lucy Wyman, whose credits include Death Note: The Musical at the Barbican Centre and Mean Girls at the Savoy Theatre. Caleb Roberts plays Richard and Andrew Berlin plays Kyle Grandy. Morgan Scott is Wayne, Katharine Pearson is Bev and Iván Fernández González is Darius.
A further fourteen performers complete the adult company, between them carrying credits from Hamilton, Matilda The Musical, Paddington and Stranger Things: The First Shadow. A Young Company of 22 covers the younger Jenna, Matt and Kyle, along with Lulu, Becky, ensemble tracks and swings.
The book is by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, who wrote the 2004 film, with songs by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, whose credits include First Date on Broadway and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series for Disney+. Andy Fickman directs, with choreography by Jennifer Weber, whose work includes & Juliet in the West End, on Broadway and on tour.
It is produced by ROYO, Revolution Studios, Wendy Federman and Phil Kenny with Todd Garner, Marla Levine and Dean Stolber. Jennifer Garner, who played Jenna in the film opposite Mark Ruffalo, is executive producer.
Jenna is thirteen and miserable at school when she wishes herself older. The wish is granted overnight: she wakes at thirty, editing a fashion magazine and apparently thriving, with no memory of the years in between. What follows is her working out who she became, and what it cost.
No UK dates have been announced for this staging, so there is nothing to book here; the Toronto season is on sale through Mirvish. The Manchester company recorded the show, and the original UK cast recording was released this month.
