The album is led by Lucie Jones as Jenna Rink and David Hunter as Matt Flamhaff, with Grace Mouat as Lucy Wyman, Caleb Roberts as Richard, Andrew Berlin as Kyle, Amelia Minto as Young Jenna and Max Bispham as Young Matt.

They are joined by Dominic Andersen, Tia Antoine-Charles, George Bray, Melody Caruana, Emmeline D’Arcy Walsh, Ross Dawes, Sarah Drake, Iván Fernández González, Rose Galbraith, Jersey Blu Georgia, Hughie Higginson, Henry Lawes, Suzie McAdam, Nyomi Okoro, Amy Parker, Elliot David Parkes, Marlis Robson, Jack Rowell, Star Lily Shentall-Lee, Maddison Thew, Rebecca-Daisy Wellington, Clark Young and Kevin Yates.

The songs are by Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary, whose earlier credits include First Date on Broadway and Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The book is by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, who wrote the 2004 film.

Arrangements and orchestrations are by Alan Williams, Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary, with electronic music design by Phij Adams and associate orchestrations by Jerome Van Den Berghe. Williams, Weiner and Zachary produced the record, which was mixed by Joe Rubel, engineered by Luke Farnell and mastered by Lewis Hopkin.

The band on the album is Amy Shackcloth (musical director and keyboard), Ellen Campbell (assistant musical director and keyboard), Pete Hutchison (bass guitar), Bryan Smith and Nick Kendall (guitars), Dan Day (drums), Will Hillman, Ciaran McCabe, Elaine Ambridge and Clodagh Kennedy (violins) and Dave Hornberger (cello).

The musical had its world premiere at Manchester Opera House in September 2025, where it played to sold-out houses and went on to win at the WhatsOnStage Awards. Its North American premiere follows later this year, as part of the Mirvish 26/27 season in Toronto.

The story follows a thirteen-year-old who wishes her way out of the misery of high school and wakes up as a thirty-year-old magazine editor with an apparently perfect life, then has to work out how she got there and what it cost. The 2004 film starred Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo; Jennifer Garner is executive producer of the stage version.

13 Going on 30 – The Musical is produced by ROYO, Revolution Studios, Wendy Federman and Phil Kenny with Todd Garner, Marla Levine and Dean Stolber. It has no London dates announced.
