Moulin Rouge! The Musical is now booking until July 2027 at the Piccadilly Theatre, and a fresh set of production photos shows the current West End company ahead of the show's fifth birthday in November.
A further booking extension takes Moulin Rouge! The Musical through to July 2027 at the Piccadilly Theatre. The new dates are on sale now. They arrive as the production reaches five years in the West End this November.
The milestone also brings new photography by Johan Persson, shot with the company now on stage. Karis Anderson plays Satine opposite Alistair Brammer as Christian. James Doherty is Harold Zidler and Daniel Fraser plays The Duke.
The principal line-up also includes Richard Lloyd King as Toulouse-Lautrec, Ivan De Freitas as Santiago, Lindsey Tierney as Nini, Nick Len as Baby Doll, Billie-Kay as Arabia and Athena Collins as La Chocolat. Angela Marie Hurst is the alternate Satine.
Around them, the company is made up of Gabriela Acosta, Andy Barke, Callum Bell, Alexandros Beshonges, Emily Bolland, Taylor Bradshaw, Robson Broad, Lucy Campbell, Bethany Chan, Lucia Coleman, Katie Deacon, James Davies-Williams, Kelly Downing, Onyemachi Ejimofor, Myles Hart, Annabelle Laing, Holly Liburd, PaddyJoe Martin, Jacob McLay Reid, Jago Mottart, Marios Nicolaides, Ben Rutter, Hassun Sharif, Jamie Shields, Risha Tavernier, Kalila Khan, Hakeem Tinubu and Tija Tkalcevic.
For anyone yet to go, the stage version reworks Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film as a jukebox mash-up of pop hits. The setting is Paris in 1899. Christian, a broke young American writer, falls for Satine, the headline star of the Moulin Rouge nightclub. Standing in the way are the club's showman owner, Harold Zidler, and the wealthy Duke of Monroth, who expects to buy her along with everything else. With the painter Toulouse-Lautrec and the tango dancer Santiago on his side, Christian puts on a show to rescue the club and win her.
The musical has now been seen by more than 14 million people across 16 productions worldwide. Beyond London, it is on a world tour, opens in Hamburg in November 2026 and returns to Sydney in March 2027.
Alex Timbers directs from a book by John Logan. Choreography is by Sonya Tayeh, with music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine. Earlier this year we covered the West End cast announcement in August and the £25 fan performance marking the anniversary.
Tickets for Moulin Rouge! The Musical are on sale at the Piccadilly Theatre, 16 Denman Street, where the show runs for 2 hours 45 minutes.
