Tom Rosenthal and Adrian Scarborough lead a 2027 UK tour of Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense

The Olivier-winning Wodehouse comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense is heading out on a UK tour in 2027. It opens at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on 29 January and visits 13 venues before closing at the Grand Opera House in York on 8 May.

Tom Rosenthal takes on the hapless Bertie Wooster, with Adrian Scarborough as his valet Jeeves. Phillip Breen, an Associate Artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company whose credits include How the Other Half Loves at the Old Vic, directs. The tour is produced by ATG Productions.

Rosenthal is best known as Jonny Goodman in Friday Night Dinner and Marcus Gallo in Plebs, and also tours as a stand-up. Scarborough, Pete Sutcliffe in Gavin & Stacey and the title role in The Chelsea Detective, has two Olivier Awards to his name, for After the Dance at the National Theatre and Leopoldstadt at Wyndham's Theatre.

The pair share the stage with a third actor as the butler Seppings: Bertie sets out to tell the story of his latest country-house misadventure as a one-man show, and it falls to the other two to play everyone else.

Brothers Robert Goodale and David Goodale wrote the play. It premiered in the West End in 2013 with Stephen Mangan as Bertie and Matthew Macfadyen as Jeeves, and won the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy the following year.
