The first production photos from Stoker Wilde are here, taken by Marc Brenner as the new glam-rock musical about Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde reaches its press night at Wilton's Music Hall tonight.
Stoker Wilde opened at Wilton's Music Hall on Tuesday 27 October and holds its press performance tonight, Wednesday 28 October, at 7pm. The run is short. There are seven performances in all, and the last is on Saturday 31 October.
The pictures show Glenn Adamson as Oscar Wilde and Connor Carson as Bram Stoker. Carson stepped into the role earlier this month, replacing Jamie Bogyo.
The show traces the two writers from Dublin to London. Both live gay lives that are hidden to different degrees, both push their way up through London society, and the rivalry between them feeds into Dracula and The Picture of Dorian Gray. This week it is presented as a concert staging, with the band sharing the stage with the cast.
Around the two leads, Christina Bennington plays Florence Stoker, Jemma Geanaus is Ellen Terry, Matt Rixon is Walt Whitman and Oliver Stockley is Lord Alfred ‘Bosie’ Douglas. Three-time Olivier Award winner David Bedella plays Henry Irving.
Eric Rosen, whose credits include Venice, wrote the book and lyrics. Rodney Bush, of Tony & The Kiki, wrote the music and lyrics. Séimí Campbell directs, and the production is presented by Jerry Goehring and Andrew House. The cast was first announced in September.
The show runs 90 minutes in one act, and the remaining performances are at Wilton's Music Hall until Saturday 31 October 2026.
