Connor Carson takes over as Bram Stoker in glam-rock musical Stoker Wilde at Wilton’s

Connor Carson, Glenn Adamson and David Bedella, who play Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde and Henry Irving in Stoker Wilde Connor Carson is the new Bram Stoker in Stoker Wilde, stepping in for Jamie Bogyo ahead of the glam-rock musical’s seven performances at Wilton’s Music Hall from 27 October.

Connor Carson takes over as Bram Stoker in Stoker Wilde, the new glam-rock musical about the rivalry between Stoker and Oscar Wilde. He replaces Jamie Bogyo, whose casting in the role was announced in September and who has since withdrawn through injury.

Carson comes to the part from the West End, where his credits include The Rocky Horror Show and The Phantom of the Opera.

He joins Glenn Adamson, who plays Oscar Wilde and whose stage work includes Bat Out of Hell and Dark of the Moon. Three-time Olivier Award winner David Bedella, whose credits run from Jerry Springer: The Opera and Hedwig and the Angry Inch to & Juliet, plays the theatre impresario Henry Irving.

The story goes back to the years before Dracula and The Picture of Dorian Gray, when Stoker and Wilde were two young Dubliners newly arrived in London. It follows them up the social and cultural ladder, through gay lives lived partly in secret and partly in the open, and into a long-overlooked rivalry from which both novels grew.

The score is by Rodney Bush of the glam-rock act Tony & The Kiki, and the book is by Eric Rosen, creator of the cult musical Venice. Séimí Campbell directs the staged concert production, which is presented by Jerry Goehring and Andrew House.

Stoker Wilde runs at Wilton’s Music Hall from Tuesday 27 October to Saturday 31 October 2026, a 90-minute developmental concert sharing played in a single act.
