Rehearsal images are out for Rent at the Tom Stoppard Theatre, where Gaten Matarazzo plays Mark from 26 September.
Rehearsal images have been released for Rent, the new West End production of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, directed by Olivier Award winner Luke Sheppard. Performances begin at the Tom Stoppard Theatre on Saturday 26 September 2026.
Gaten Matarazzo, best known as Dustin across five series of Stranger Things, plays Mark. Travis Ross is Roger, Alexa Lopez is Mimi, Billy Nevers is Collins, Lazy Violet is Maureen, Olivier nominee Danielle Fiamanya is Joanne, Jeevan Braich is Angel and Joaquin Pedro Valdes is Benny.
They are joined by Baylie Carson, Laura Delany, Ryesha Higgs, Montoya Holloway-Johnson, Rhys Hopkins, Shem Omari James, Hannah Macpherson, TJ Matara-Holloway, Ryan Nixon, Leah Vassell, James Wilkinson-Jones and Kevin Yates.
Larson wrote the music, lyrics and book. Luke Sheppard directs, with choreography by Tom Jackson Greaves, set design by David Woodhead, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting by Howard Hudson, audio production and sound design by Paul Gatehouse, video design and cinematography by George Reeve and Nathan Amzi, and make-up and hair design by Jackie Saundercock. Bill Sherman is musical supervisor and Katy Richardson musical director and associate musical supervisor, with Asha Jennings-Grant as intimacy director, Priya Patel Appleby as associate director and Joe Trill as dialect coach. UK casting is by Pearson Casting and US casting by Jim Carnahan.
The production is produced in the West End by Chris Harper Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions, Winkler & Smalberg and Julie Larson, in association with the Hope Mill Theatre. Rent was originally produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S. Gordon and the New York Theatre Workshop.
Rent begins performances at the Tom Stoppard Theatre on Saturday 26 September 2026, and tickets are on sale now.
