The Party at The O2 for selected performances from 10 January to 18 March 2027, as the ABBA dining show confirms a new production in Sydney.

Peter Andre, who first played the taverna owner Nikos in Mamma Mia! The Party earlier this year, will step back into the role at The O2 for a limited run from 10 January until 18 March 2027. He is billed at selected performances only: 20 shows across 17 dates, including matinee and evening doubles on three Sundays in January.

Best known for his 1990s chart hits Mysterious Girl and Flava, Andre said the part had clicked with him from his first night in the Greek restaurant setting:

“I’m back! I’m thrilled to be returning to Mamma Mia! The Party at The O2 in London in 2027. Being part of the production earlier this year was an incredible experience, and from the moment I stepped into Nikos Taverna, I felt a real connection to the character and the show. The energy, the music, the atmosphere and, of course, the amazing Greek food make Mamma Mia! The Party a unique night out. I can’t wait to share the magic with you all once again. See you there!”

His dates are:

  • January: 10 (matinee and evening), 14, 15, 21, 24 (matinee and evening), 28 and 31 (matinee and evening)
  • February: 4, 11, 12, 24 and 25
  • March: 4, 5, 11, 17 and 18

He rejoins a company headed by X Factor winner Sam Bailey, who stays on as Debbie until April 2027. Around them, until May 2027, are Kelly Aaron (Sue/Swing), Constantine Andronikou (Robin/Swing), Marianne Benedict (Kate at certain performances), AJ Bentley (Adam), Claudia Bradley (Tia/Swing), Inês Fernandez (Konstantina), Tom Fothergill (Carlos/Swing), Elena Gibson (Bella at certain performances), Deschenes Graham (Joyce/Swing), Allie Ho Chee (Bella at certain performances), Sophie Holdsworth (Loretta/Swing), Gabriella-Rose Merchant (Nina, maternity cover), James Mark McLoughlin (Ruben/Swing), Kimberly Powell (Kate at certain performances), Andy Rose (Host/Fernando), Dawn Spence (Grandma) and Rebecca Stenhouse (Nina at certain performances).

The evening is set at sundown on Skopelos, where the audience sits down at Nikos’ family-run taverna for a four-course Greek sharing feast while a love story unfolds between the tables. ABBA numbers including Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen and Waterloo carry the plot, and once the story is done the room becomes an ABBA disco. Björn Ulvaeus is executive producer with Pophouse, and the English book is by Sandi Toksvig. Since the London version opened in August 2019 it has played close to 2,000 performances to more than 800,000 guests, from 110 countries.

The same day brought news of a third home for the show. A Sydney production, co-produced with TEG Dainty, opens in March 2027 at Sydney Event Center at The Star, joining The O2 and Stockholm, where the show began in January 2016. Pre-sales start on 9 November, general booking follows on 12 November 2026, and a waitlist is open now. Sophie Arendt, Managing Director of Mamma Mia! The Party for Pophouse Entertainment, said: “The opening of a new site in Sydney next year marks a major moment in the show’s international growth and reflects the huge appetite for experiences that bring people together in unforgettable ways.”

In London, the show is booking until 28 November 2027, following the extension that released more than 120,000 tickets. Performances run Wednesday to Sunday at 6.30pm, with 12 noon matinees on Saturdays and Sundays, and the minimum age is 5.
