Over 120,000 tickets have been released for Mamma Mia! The Party, taking the booking period at The O2 through to Sunday 28 November 2027. It is the flagship staging of a show that has been running at the Greenwich arena since August 2019.
One point worth settling first: this is the dining show, not the West End musical. Mamma Mia! The Party is a separate production played out in a purpose-built Greek taverna, where guests eat dinner inside the set and the story unfolds around their tables. The stage musical Mamma Mia! continues at the Novello Theatre, where a new company joined earlier this month. The songs are the only thing the two have in common.
The evening is built around a four-course Greek feast at Nikos’ family-run taverna, set in Skopelos as the sun goes down, and the food is served as sharing platters across the table. The performance runs on ABBA’s catalogue, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen and Waterloo among the numbers, and an ABBA disco follows it.
Since opening in London, the production has welcomed more than 800,000 guests, who have come from 110 countries.

The show is executive produced by Björn Ulvaeus and Pophouse, and first opened in Stockholm in January 2016. The London version is co-directed and choreographed by Stacey Haynes and Roine Söderlundh, with set design by Bengt Fröderberg, lighting by Patrick Woodroffe, sound by Gareth Owen and costumes by Annsofi Nyberg. Robin Svensson is music supervisor, and casting is by David Grindrod CDG for Grindrod Burton Casting.
Music and lyrics are by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, some songs with Stig Anderson. The story is by Calle Norlén, Roine Söderlundh and Björn Ulvaeus, and the English book is by Sandi Toksvig.
Two upgrades sit above the standard ticket. The Platinum Package adds a Tier A ticket in a prime location, a cast meet and greet with a tableside photograph, a glass of champagne on arrival, half a bottle of Nikos house wine and a merchandise party pack. An existing booking can be lifted with the VIP upgrade, which carries the champagne, the half bottle of house wine and the party pack. A sharing cheeseboard can be added to the set menu.
Mamma Mia! The Party runs at The O2, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX. Performances are Wednesday to Sunday at 6.30pm, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 12 noon. The minimum age is five.
