Sara Poyzer and Richard Standing return as Donna and Sam in a new West End cast for Mamma Mia! from 12 October, and booking now runs to 2 October 2027.
Sara Poyzer returns as Donna and Richard Standing as Sam when a new cast takes over Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre on Monday 12 October 2026. Booking has been extended to 2 October 2027, with those tickets on sale today.
Poyzer was last seen on the Come From Away UK tour and Standing in Faith Healer at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. They are joined by Vivien Carter (Anything Goes at the Barbican) as Tanya and Laura Medforth (Muriel’s Wedding at Curve) as Rosie, with Daniel Crowder as Harry and Rakesh Boury, lately of Matilda the Musical in the West End, as Bill.
Ellie Gilbert-Grey plays Sophie after Freaky Friday the Musical at Home Manchester, opposite Kyle Cox as Sky, who has been touring in &Juliet. Natorii Illidge (Moulin Rouge! The Musical) is Ali and Foxy Valentine is Lisa, with Edward Turner as Eddie and Charlie Garton as Pepper. Emma Odell plays Donna at certain performances.
Also joining are Margaret Atta, Dan Burstow, Will Forgave, Erin-Sophie Halliday, Nicole Ingram, Harry Jack, Imogen Malone, David Nairne, Andy Rees, Julie Repérant, Beth Shaw and Matt Trevorrow. Staying with the company are Matthew Barrow, Lawrence Guntert, Laura Jayne-Hardie, Deena Kapadia, Benjamin Kempton, Tom Parsons, Emily Squibb and Ria Turner.
The show turned 27 in April and is now the third longest-running musical in West End history. It opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1999, moved to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004 and has been at the Novello since 2012, playing close to 11,000 performances in London to more than 11 million people.
Catherine Johnson wrote the book, with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. Phyllida Lloyd directs and Anthony Van Laast choreographs, with set and costume design by Mark Thompson, lighting by Howard Harrison, sound by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision and arrangements by Martin Koch. It is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal Music Group.
Tickets start at £20. Early Bird pricing takes £20 off Band B, Band A and Premium seats for Monday to Thursday performances booked at least twelve weeks ahead, and a family rate covers four people from £99. Over-60s can get seats normally priced up to £98.50 for £37.50 at selected Thursday matinees, and group rates apply from ten people. There is a captioned performance on 16 January 2027 and an audio-described performance with touch tour on 23 January, both at 3pm.
Mamma Mia! runs at the Novello Theatre, Aldwych, Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 3pm. The new cast joins on Monday 12 October 2026 and the production is now booking to Saturday 2 October 2027. Running time is 2 hours 35 minutes including the interval.
