Jane Krakowski is to play Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre from 7 December 2026 to 16 January 2027, returning to the part she played on Broadway, and the Cole Escola comedy is now booking through to 5 June 2027.
Jane Krakowski will take on Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary! for a strictly limited six weeks, from 7 December 2026 to 16 January 2027, at the Trafalgar Theatre. She arrives knowing the role well: her eight-week Broadway stint as the President's wife was lengthened by a further four weeks.
She follows Lolly Adefope, the BAFTA nominee from Ghosts and The Franchise, whose final performance as Mary is on Saturday 5 December. Casting for the role from 18 January 2027 has not yet been announced.
The production has also extended its West End run and is now taking bookings until 5 June 2027. The rest of the company stays in place: Lucy Frederick as Mary's Chaperone, J.R. Ballantyne as Mary's Husband's Assistant, Vinnie Heaven as Mary's Teacher and Syrus Lowe as Mary's Husband.
London audiences last saw Krakowski in Here We Are at the National Theatre in 2025, which brought her an Olivier nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. She already holds an Olivier, for Guys and Dolls in the West End, and a Tony, for Nine on Broadway, with further Tony nominations for She Loves Me and Grand Hotel. Television viewers know her best as Jenna Maroney in 30 Rock, which earned four Emmy nominations, and as Jacqueline White in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the 80-minute one-act comedy finds a stifled, unhappy and heavy-drinking Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks before her husband's assassination, nursing ambitions nobody around her takes seriously. On Broadway it won Tony Awards for Escola (Best Leading Actor in a Play) and Pinkleton (Best Direction of a Play) and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Its London run opened at the Trafalgar Theatre on 3 December 2025 and went on to win Best Entertainment or Comedy Play at this year's Olivier Awards.
The creative team also includes dots (set), Holly Pierson (costumes), Cha See (lighting), Daniel Kluger (sound design and music), Drew Levy (sound), Leah J. Loukas (wigs) and David Dabbon (arrangements), with casting by Stuart Burt CDG and US casting by Henry Russell Bergstein. The West End production is presented by Kevin McCollum and Lucas McMahon with Mike Lavoie and Carlee Briglia.
Oh, Mary! is booking now at the Trafalgar Theatre until 5 June 2027, with Jane Krakowski in the lead from 7 December 2026 to 16 January 2027.
