Paranormal Activity now books to 2 January 2027 at the Ambassadors Theatre, in the same week the show opens a UK and Ireland tour.
Paranormal Activity has extended its West End run for a fifth time. Tickets for the new booking period, Monday 9 November 2026 to Saturday 2 January 2027, are on sale now, and the production continues at the Ambassadors Theatre on West Street.
The timing is deliberate, and busy. The show reopened for a second West End season earlier this year, opened a 20-week Broadway run at the August Wilson Theatre on 14 August 2026 after a North American tour, and this week launches a UK and Ireland tour at Richmond Theatre. There is also a gala night in London on Monday 5 October.
Written by Levi Holloway and directed by Felix Barrett, founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk, the play is a new story rather than a staging of any one film in the series. James and Lou move from Chicago to London to get away from their past, and find that places are not haunted – people are.
The company is led by Ty Fanning as James, making his West End debut after playing opposite Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal in Othello on Broadway, and Ami Okumura Jones as Lou, who originated Satsuki in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s My Neighbour Totoro and appears in the Netflix drama Hostage. Kirsty Bushell plays Etheline Cotgrave, and Pippa Winslow returns as Carolanne, a role she has played since the Leeds Playhouse premiere and through the first West End season.
The creative team has Fly Davis as set and costume designer, illusions by Chris Fisher, lighting by Anna Watson, sound by Gareth Fry and video design by Luke Halls. Stuart Burt CDG and Ginny Schiller CDG are casting directors and Anna Marshall is associate director. It is produced by Simon Friend and Hanna Osmolska for Melting Pot, in association with Gavin Kalin, Ken Davenport, Jenny King, Patrick Gracey, Jonathan and Rae Corr and Leeds Playhouse.
The stage version follows the 2009 Paramount film, which reworked the found-footage genre, took close to $200 million worldwide and grew into a seven-film franchise. The Metro called this one “relentlessly frightening – arm-clutchingly, stranger-embracingly so”.
Paranormal Activity runs at the Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London WC2H 9ND. Evening performances are at 7.30pm Monday to Friday, with matinees on Fridays and Saturdays at 2.30pm. The age recommendation is 15 and over.
