The touring production of Legally Blonde The Musical has found a West End home. It runs at the London Coliseum from Monday 22 March to Saturday 22 May 2027, a strictly limited season, and booking is open now with tickets from £20.
Amber Davies reprises Elle Woods, the role she has been playing on the sold-out UK and Ireland tour. One practical note for buyers: at certain performances Elle will be taken by an alternate, who has yet to be named. The production says those dates will be listed on its website.
The Coliseum is familiar ground for her. She originated Jordan Baker in the London production of The Great Gatsby there in 2025, and won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for it. She was also runner-up in the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing, partnered by Nikita Kuzmin.
Her other stage credits include Vivian Ward on the UK tour of Pretty Woman, Lorraine Baines in the West End production of Back to the Future The Musical and Campbell in Bring It On at London’s South Bank Centre. She made her professional debut as Judy in the original West End cast of 9 to 5 the Musical at the Savoy Theatre, and carried the part on to the UK tour.
The transfer keeps the team that made the tour. Nikolai Foster, artistic director of Curve, directs, and Leah Hill choreographs; both worked on the Kinky Boots that ran at this same theatre. Music and lyrics are by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach, drawn from Amanda Brown’s novel and the 2001 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film.
Musical supervision and additional arrangements are by Matt Spencer-Smith, with set design by Colin Richmond, costume design by Tom Rogers, wigs, hair and make-up design by Sam Cox, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound by Adam Fisher. Casting is by Harry Blumenau CDG CSA, with additional casting by Jim Carnahan.
The musical takes Elle from a Californian sorority house to the lecture halls of Harvard Law, where she is written off long before anyone has watched her work. It is a big, loud, pink comedy that lands, in the show’s own phrase, on the idea that “being true to yourself never goes out of style”.
Previews run from Monday 22 to Monday 29 March 2027. Performances are Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 2.30pm, and there is no matinee on Thursday 25 March 2027. Three access performances are scheduled, all at 7.30pm: audio described on Tuesday 20 April 2027, captioned on Wednesday 5 May 2027 and signed on Tuesday 11 May 2027.
ROYO and Curve produce. It is the first of two titles ROYO is taking into the Coliseum, after its 2026 season of Kinky Boots starring Johannes Radebe: a 16-week engagement of a new production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory follows, with Michael Ball as Willy Wonka.
