Rosamund Pike will make her Broadway debut in Inter Alia, and the principal casting announced today keeps the London company together: Jamie Glover returns as Michael Wheatley and Cormac McAlinden as Harry Wheatley, both making Broadway debuts of their own. Previews begin at the Music Box Theatre on 10 November 2026, with opening night on 1 December.
It is a National Theatre production going out under its own name - the NT produces in New York alongside WJP, No Guarantees Productions, P3 Productions and Playful Productions. Suzie Miller's play opened at the National in 2025, sold out, and transferred to Wyndham's Theatre from March to June 2026. Roughly 600,000 people have now seen it worldwide, helped by National Theatre Live in cinemas and National Theatre at Home.
Pike plays Jessica Parks, a London Crown Court judge managing a career, a marriage and a son, until something happens at home that the law she administers is suddenly no help with. She won the 2026 Olivier Award and the Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Best Actress for it.
The play reunites Miller with director Justin Martin, her collaborator on Prima Facie, which did the same London-to-Broadway journey. McAlinden is the newest name of the three: he graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2025, won the Laurence Olivier Bursary, and is nominated for Best West End Debut Performer at this year's Stage Debut Awards for this role. Glover's stage work includes the title role in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre.
The creative team travels largely intact: set and costume design by Miriam Buether, lighting by Natasha Chivers, sound by Ben and Max Ringham, video by Willie Williams for Treatment Studios, composition by Erin LeCount and James Jacob, movement and intimacy direction by Lucy Hind and music supervision by Nick Pinchbeck. Casting is by Alastair Coomer and Naomi Downham in the UK and Jim Carnahan in the United States.
The London run has closed, so there is nothing to book here for now - but the National's biggest recent hit arriving on Broadway with its leading actor and half its cast intact is worth watching, not least for what it says about how far an NT play can now travel.
