First pictures from West End Woofs (and Meows) 2026 at the Actors' Church
Pictures have been released from this year's West End Woofs (and Meows), the live dog and cat adoption event hosted by Dame Elaine Paige and Bernadette Peters at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden.
Images from the 2026 edition of West End Woofs (and Meows) have been released today. The live dog and cat adoption event took place at St Paul's Church in Covent Garden on Saturday 15 August, hosted once again by Dame Elaine Paige and Bernadette Peters.
The afternoon pairs West End performers with animals waiting to be rehomed, working alongside participating shelters and rescue groups so that the day raises money for their work. Every animal that took part was making what the organisers cheerfully call a West End debut, appearing on stage with casts drawn from Hamilton, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Oliver!, Paddington and The Devil Wears Prada.
Special guests pictured on the day include Janie Dee, Richard Dempsey, Peter Egan, Cole Escola, Sarah Hadland, Bonnie Langford, Jak Malone, Joanna Riding, Jeremy Secomb and Jac Yarrow.
Eight shelters and rescue groups took part this year: Pro Dogs Direct, Saving Saints Rescue, German Shepherd Rescue South, Noah's Ark Dog Rescue, Home Run Hounds, All Dogs Matter, Peterborough Cat Rescue and Fetcher Dog. All proceeds from the event go to their work.
