The 2026 company of Christmas Carol Goes Wrong has been photographed on stage by Mark Senior. The cast is on a UK tour now and plays Wyndham's Theatre from 18 December 2026 to 23 January 2027.
New production photographs of Christmas Carol Goes Wrong were released on 5 November. Mark Senior took them, and they show the company now touring the UK, which moves into the Wyndham's Theatre for the West End season from 18 December 2026 to 23 January 2027.
They are the first look at the full production in costume and on the set this year, following the rehearsal images issued in October.
The comedy comes from Mischief, the company behind The Play That Goes Wrong. Its hapless Cornley Amateur Drama Society takes on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol: the set arrives late, actors go missing, and the company falls out over who gets the lead.
Director Matt DiCarlo said: "There is something irresistible about bringing the world of Goes Wrong to Christmas! The collision of the beloved Dickens story and the chaotic antics of the Cornley Drama Society creates limitless opportunities for comedy."
The cast is James Akka as Dennis (until 13 January), Adam Elliott as Chris, original Mischief member Dave Hearn as Max, Matthew Howell as Robert (until 13 January), Jay Olpin, Luke Pierre as Jonathan, Aein Nasseri as Trevor, Dumile Sibanda as Annie and Ashley Tucker as Sandra.
For the final stretch at Wyndham's, from 14 to 23 January, two of the show's writers return to the stage: Jonathan Sayer plays Dennis and Henry Lewis plays Robert, as announced in October. The understudies are Billie Hamer, Robert Lane, Claire Lee Shenfield, Josh Patel-Foster (from 23 January) and Jamie Sandersfield.
Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields wrote the play, and DiCarlo directs. Set design is by Libby Todd, costumes by Roberto Surace and lighting by David Howe, with sound and music by Alexandra Faye Braithwaite. Kenny Wax and Stage Presence produce. The show sold out its first West End season at the Apollo Theatre last Christmas.
