Joel Harper-Jackson, the current star of Sinatra the Musical, will front A Sinatra Christmas By Candlelight, a one-night festive concert at the Aldwych Theatre on Sunday 6 December 2026. Tickets go on sale on Friday 18 September.
A Sinatra Christmas By Candlelight comes to the Aldwych Theatre for one performance only, at 7.30pm on Sunday 6 December 2026. Booking opens at 10am on Friday 18 September.
It is led by Joel Harper-Jackson, who is currently playing Frank Sinatra at the same theatre in Sinatra the Musical. Harper-Jackson also co-produces, with Simon Gordon and Daniel Wood of Kinda Dusty Ltd., the company behind the Concerts by Candlelight series.
A 17-piece big band plays under musical director Dave Rose, and the stage is set with hundreds of candles. The programme pairs Sinatra standards, among them My Way, Fly Me to the Moon, New York, New York and That's Life, with Christmas favourites including Rudolph, The Christmas Song, White Christmas, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Let it Snow!
Three guests join him. Lauren Byrne is a member of Remember Monday, the pop trio that represented the UK at Eurovision in 2025, and has played Miss Honey in Matilda. Lloyd Daniels played the title role in a UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Sharlene Hector, lead vocalist with Basement Jaxx, was recently in Hercules at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Harper-Jackson's earlier London credits include Standing at the Sky's Edge at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, M in Cock at the Ambassadors Theatre, and Freddie in a concert staging of Chess at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
The date brings together his West End work and his long association with the candlelit series. "I am so excited to be doing this very special Christmas Sinatra concert at The Aldwych! I have been working with Concerts by Candlelight for many years now performing at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, The London Palladium and even St Paul's Cathedral. It is so lovely that my two worlds have now collided for this incredible concert that is going to get everyone singing along and feeling really festive!" he said.
Seats start at £45 for the performance at the Aldwych Theatre, 49 Aldwych, London WC2B 4DF.
