Hannah Kremer and Katrina Lyndon will share the title role in Matthew Bourne's Cinderella as New Adventures marks the wartime ballet's 30th anniversary with a 17-venue UK tour, taking in a Christmas season at Sadler's Wells.
Hannah Kremer and Katrina Lyndon alternate as Cinderella in the 2026-27 revival of Matthew Bourne's Cinderella, which begins its 24-week tour at Theatre Royal Plymouth on Monday 16 November 2026. Reece Causton and Rory Macleod share Harry, the RAF pilot she falls for, and three dancers rotate as The Angel, the figure the company calls Cinderella's "Fairy GodFather": James Lovell, Andy Monaghan and Kingston Taylor.
Michela Meazza, who danced in the original production in 1997, plays the Step-Mother, Sybil, alternating with Daisy West. Nicole Kabera joins the company to take on the role for the UK tour as well.
Cinderella's Step-Brothers and Sisters, along with the Londoners of the 1940s who fill the stage around them, are danced by Mark Austin, Benjamin Barlow Bazeley, Tom Barnes Standing, Isabella Chandler, Carla Contini, Adam Davies, Christina Gibbs, Louis Harris, Thomas Ireson, Rosanna Lindsey, Maisie Mwebe, Matthew Petty, Matthew Potulski, Holly Saw, Molly Shaw-Downie and Shakiera Ward. Four more, Cameron Allan, Ethan Fairclough, Woody Freeman and Harry Hincks, are dancing with New Adventures for the first time.
Matthew Bourne said: "It's thrilling to welcome an almost entirely new cast to bring our epic wartime love story back to life for its 30th anniversary. In fact, apart from the wonderful Michela Meazza (who performed in the original production in 1997), all the Principals will be taking on these coveted roles in Cinderella for the first time this season." He added that the company is "immensely proud that 73% of the Cinderella company have come through our New Adventures talent development programmes".
Bourne moves Prokofiev's fairytale to London in the Second World War. A young woman and an RAF pilot meet by chance, are given one magical night to fall in love, and are then pulled apart by the Blitz. Lez Brotherston's set and costume designs won him an Olivier Award, and the lighting is by another Olivier winner, Neil Austin. Duncan McLean provides the video and projection designs, and Paul Groothuis the sound design, which carries the score alongside the noise of a city under bombardment.
The tour also has an official partner in Imperial War Museums. New Adventures will run dance workshops drawn from Cinderella at the museum's Big Story Festival on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 October 2026, linked to its current exhibition, Childhood in War. The cast will spend a research day in the museum's galleries, and the tour programme includes a conversation between Brotherston and IWM curator James Taylor about the wartime objects that shaped the look of the show.
