Nine performers from the UK and Ireland, New York and Australian companies share a single Candy Store in a video released for Heathers Day, filmed across three continents.
The three Heathers from Heathers the Musical’s UK and Ireland tour appear alongside their New York and Australian counterparts in a new music video of Candy Store, released today to mark Heathers Day. It was filmed in London, New York and Sydney and cuts between the three companies as they trade the same number.
Liberty Stottor, Jessica Ibadin and Lou Henry represent the UK and Ireland production as Heather Chandler, Heather Duke and Heather McNamara. From New York come Zan Berube, Jackera Davis and Ava DeMary, and from Australia Calista Nelmes, Amélia Rojas and Abigail Sharp.
Two pieces of scheduling news came with it. The UK and Ireland company travels to Manila for a limited run at The Theatre at Solaire from 21 January to 7 February 2027, taking Gerardine Sacdalan as Veronica Sawyer and Louis Hearsey as Jason “J.D.” Dean along with the three Heathers. And the North American tour has filled out its route: it opens at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore in May 2027, then plays New Haven, Chicago, Charlotte, Greenville and Hershey, with more venues still to come.
The Off-Broadway production at New World Stages, which opened in June 2025 with the biggest advance in that venue’s history, has been extended a fourth and final time to 8 November 2026. The Australian and New Zealand tour finishes in Perth this October.
The UK and Ireland tour is at Leeds Grand Theatre this week and continues through the autumn, reaching the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry from 15-19 September and Chichester Festival Theatre from 10-14 November, where tickets go on sale on 12 September. A spring 2027 leg runs from Hull in February to Cambridge in May.
The musical has book, music and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, based on Daniel Waters’s 1989 film. Andy Fickman directs, with choreography by Gary Lloyd, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Dan Samson and musical supervision by Will Joy. It is produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills.
The show reached London in 2018 in a reworked version with new songs, won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical in 2019 and has since played three West End runs and three UK and Ireland tours. It is recommended for ages 14 and over.
