Claudia Winkleman walks Nick Mohammed through the Round Table in a new film for The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal, which begins previews at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 11 May 2027.
A round table, a heap of gold and a room full of blindfolded players. The newest image from The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal puts Nick Mohammed in a velvet jacket and bow tie behind the Round Table, with Claudia Winkleman at his shoulder.
It arrives with a short film, released this morning by the producers, Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions. Shot at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, where the BBC series is made, it has Winkleman taking her stage successor through how the Round Table is run. She had already sworn him in as The Host, as we reported when his casting was announced in September.
If the player does not load, the film is also on YouTube.
Mohammed, a finalist in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors, plays The Host. Around him, eleven fictional characters from across the country, among them a farmer, a mortician, an intelligence officer and a cleaner, play the whole game in one evening, from the choosing of the Traitors to the final. The twist is one television cannot pull off: the play exists in five versions, each with a different set of Traitors, so a character banished early one night can walk away with the win the next.
John Finnemore, creator of Cabin Pressure, wrote it, and Robert Hastie, director of Operation Mincemeat, directs.
Previews begin at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 11 May 2027, and the world premiere is on 8 June 2027. From then, performances run Monday to Saturday at 19:30, with matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 14:30. The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal is booking now, with tickets from £25.
