The new company of The Hunger Games: On Stage is in the rehearsal room. The first pictures of it arrived this morning, taken by Danny Kaan.

The line-up itself was announced last month. Now there is something to look at: staff drills, sword work, a group lift, a quiet scene between Elizabeth Anderson and Aiya Agustin, and Daniel Brocklebank settled into an armchair as Caesar Flickerman.

Brocklebank, a familiar face from Coronation Street, is one of two soap names in the new company. The other is Neil McDermott, from EastEnders, who takes on Haymitch Abernathy.

Elizabeth Anderson leads as Katniss Everdeen, opposite Vinnie Copeland as Peeta Mellark. Nathan Stokes is Gale Hawthorne, Daisy Statham plays Prim and Alix Dunmore is Mrs. Everdeen, with Isabel Della-Porta as Effie Trinket and Theo Ogundipe as Cinna.

The current cast plays its final performance on 18 October 2026. The new company takes over at the 2.30pm show on Friday 23 October 2026, as the production starts its second year at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, the 1,200-seat in-the-round house built for it.

Conor McPherson adapted the stage version from the first of Suzanne Collins’ novels and the Lionsgate film, and Matthew Dunster directs.

The Hunger Games: On Stage is booking until 14 February 2027.
