Elizabeth Anderson takes over as Katniss Everdeen and Vinnie Copeland as Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games: On Stage from 23 October, as the Troubadour Canary Wharf production begins its second year.
Elizabeth Anderson will play Katniss Everdeen and Vinnie Copeland Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games: On Stage from the matinee on Friday 23 October 2026. The new company takes over as the production enters its second year at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre. The current cast plays its final performance on Monday 18 October.
Nathan Stokes joins as Gale Hawthorne, Daisy Statham as Prim, Alix Dunmore as Mrs. Everdeen, Isabel Della-Porta as Effie Trinket and Theo Ogundipe as Cinna.
Neil McDermott, known for EastEnders, takes the role of Haymitch Abernathy, and Daniel Brocklebank, of Coronation Street, plays Caesar Flickerman. John Malkovich continues as President Snow on screen.
Five performers stay with the production: Aiya Agustin as Rue, Geo Bailey as Tippet, Alexandra Barredo as Fossa, and Jessica Daugirda and Luca Moscardini as offstage swings.
They are joined by Jason Battersby as Cato, Myla Carmen as Clove, Archie Durrant as Stele, Montel Morrison as Thresh, Jhanaica van Mook as Glimmer, Lewis Renninson as Drove, Jake Scott Newton as Marvel, Hamish Skeoch as Fila, Xanthe Gibson as offstage swing and alternate Katniss, Joseph Lukehurst and Emma Shannon as onstage swings, and Jesse Chidera, Elliot Copeland, Maria Goodman, Florence Russell and Rhodri Watkins as offstage swings.
Conor McPherson, whose Girl from the North Country played the West End, adapted the first of Suzanne Collins' novels and the first Lionsgate film for the stage. Matthew Dunster, director of 2:22 - A Ghost Story, directs.
The creative team includes set designer Miriam Buether, choreographer Charlotte Broom, lighting designer Lucy Carter, sound designer Ian Dickinson for Autograph, video designer Tal Rosner, illusions by Chris Fisher, fight director Kev McCurdy, flying and special effects by John Maddox, arranger and musical director James Maloney and casting director Amy Ball CDG.
The 1,200-seat Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre was purpose-built in the round for the production. It is produced by Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Oliver Royds for BOS Productions, Isobel David, Timothy Laczynski and Umeda Arts Theater.
The Hunger Games: On Stage is booking at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre until Sunday 14 February 2027. Performances run Tuesday to Thursday at 7.30pm, Friday and Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and Sunday at 2.30pm, moving to 3pm from November.
