THUNDERBIRDS: BEYOND THE HORIZON landing at new purpose built venue The Buzz

Limelight Productions and ebp (Emma Brunjes Productions), in collaboration with ITV Studios proudly announce the world premiere of a new interactive theatrical event; THUNDERBIRDS: BEYOND THE HORIZON,based on the original series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Landing at the new purpose built venue for immersive and interactive theatre, The Buzz at Mercato Metropolitano, London, performances will begin from Wednesday 7 November 2018 with press performances on Thursday 15 November.
Tickets for THUNDERBIRDS: BEYOND THE HORIZON are on general sale from Friday 27 April, with exclusive pre-sale access for those following @BeyondThunderbirds on social media from today, Wednesday 25 April.
The Buzz at Mercato Metropolitano in Borough, London is the first venue of its kind, being specifically built with immersive and event theatre in mind.
Richard Lewis from Limelight Productions said today, “Three years ago, I began a journey with ITV which will culminate this autumn in the opportunity to experience the world of International Rescue. Having watched the original series as a boy the iconic countdown, “5-4–3–2–1… Thunderbirds are Go!“ is enough to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. My ambition has always been to have our audience experience the visceral feeling of being rescued by a Thunderbird. It’s not an easy task, so much so that we have had to build our own venue in London to do so! Our extraordinarily experienced creative team is bursting with ideas and passion to make my ambition our reality. I can’t wait!”
Emma Brunjes and Ralph Brunjes from ebp said today, “When Richard arrived in our office and asked, ‘Would you be interested in Thunderbirds?’ it took us all of three seconds for us to shout, in unison, YES! As children we made our own Tracy Island, a memory that is very dear to us both. The opportunity to recreate this memory in full scale reality - and without the use of toilet rolls and papier-mâché - was too good to miss! Who doesn’t want the opportunity to be a child again? To explore, play and have fun! All our immersive productions have been technically and creatively complicated and encourage you to escape, but this one offers us the chance to push the boundaries even further. We are ‘beyond’ excited!”

The show premieres at The Buzz, the first ever purpose-built venue for immersive and interactive events.
