The first production photographs of Lolly Adefope in Oh, Mary! have been released, showing her West End debut as Mary Todd Lincoln alongside the rest of the company at the Trafalgar Theatre.
Taken on stage by Manuel Harlan, the new set follows the rehearsal-room pictures issued in September, and it is the first chance to see Lolly Adefope's Mary Todd Lincoln in full costume and on the set of Oh, Mary!, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy by Cole Escola.
The four actors announced around her last month are all in the frame: Syrus Lowe as Mary's Husband, Lucy Frederick as Mary's Chaperone, J.R. Ballantyne as Mary's Husband's Assistant and Vinnie Heaven as Mary's Teacher. The pictures move from the Lincolns' patterned parlour, with George Washington looking down from above the mantelpiece, to a Wild West saloon, and one catches Adefope alone in front of a gold curtain.
Sam Pinkleton directs, with scenic design by dots, costumes by Holly Pierson, lighting by Cha See, sound design and music by Daniel Kluger, sound design by Drew Levy, wigs by Leah J. Loukas and arrangements by David Dabbon. Casting is by Stuart Burt CDG.
Behind them sits an associate team of Georgie Rankcom (associate director), Zoë Hurwitz (scenic), Debo Andrews (costume), Tom Turner (lighting), Chris Reid (sound) and Kim Kasim (wigs), together with Caitlin Morgan on music direction, Eleanor Dolan as costume supervisor and Marcus Hall as props supervisor.
The West End production comes from Kevin McCollum & Lucas McMahon and Mike Lavoie & Carlee Briglia, producing with Bob Boyett, The Council, Jean Doumanian Productions, Nicole Eisenberg, Jay Marcus & George Strus, Irony Point, Richard Batchelder/Bradley Reynolds, Tyler Mount/Tommy Doyle, Nelson & Tao, Palomares & Rosenberg, ShowTown Productions, Jamie Wilson Productions and Wessex Grove; Wessex Grove are also the executive producers at the Trafalgar.
Adefope's final performance is on Saturday 5 December 2026, and Oh, Mary! is booking at the Trafalgar Theatre until Saturday 2 January 2027.
