The first photographs are out from Leslie Odom Jr.’s solo concert at the London Palladium, where the Tony winner, who took the award as Aaron Burr in Hamilton, played two performances on Saturday 31 October 2026.
It began as one performance and became two. Demand led the producers, Darren Bell and Cuffe & Taylor, to add a second show on the same day, so Leslie Odom, Jr. in Concert played the London Palladium at 2.30pm and again at 7.30pm on Saturday 31 October 2026. Danny Kaan photographed the concert, and his pictures were released today.
Darren Bell and Cuffe & Taylor are also the partnership behind Caissie Levy’s solo concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and the Palladium dates followed much the same pattern: a Broadway name, a large West End house and a set list pitched squarely at people who buy theatre tickets.
Odom’s programme ranged across the American Songbook, pop songs given new arrangements and musical theatre favourites, and it made room for numbers from Hamilton, the musical that brought him a Tony Award for his Aaron Burr on Broadway. His accompanist was the guitarist Steven Walker, who also served as musical director, and Kaan’s photographs catch the two of them working side by side under shifting washes of amber, magenta and blue, with a full band set out behind them.
The Hamilton material had fresh weight behind it. In September 2025 Odom went back into the show on Broadway as Burr, nine years after leaving the production, and his limited engagement produced the highest-grossing performances in its ten years there. Two years before that he had returned to Broadway in a revival of Ossie Davis’s Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch, which he produced with Nicolette Robinson and Jeffrey Richards as well as starring in; the production received six Tony nominations, Odom’s own among them, and won one.
Away from the stage he has a Grammy to go with the Tony, along with three Emmy nominations and two Academy Award nominations. On screen he played Sam Cooke in Regina King’s film One Night in Miami..., and his other credits include Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. He has released six albums, the most recent being his first live record, An Offering: Live at Speakeasy Studios, which came out on 17 October 2025.
The two performances on 31 October were the only Palladium dates announced for the concert, so there are no further tickets to book.
