The pictures arrive on press night. Marianne Elliott's production of the Edward Albee play has been playing since 21 September, and has its official opening tonight, Wednesday 30 September, at 7pm.
Two frames close in on the marriage at the heart of it. In one, Billy Crudup's George lies back in a leather lounger with a book open and his feet up, a pleated standard lamp at his shoulder and a glass within reach. In the other he sits knee to knee with Anderson on the edge of the playing area, the rest of the stage dropped into darkness.
The wider shots pull back to show Miriam Buether's set in full: a sunken circle of rust-coloured floor ringed by low bookcases, a drinks trolley and a curved sofa, with the audience seated all the way round. Josh Dylan and Phoebe Horn, the visiting couple Nick and Honey, join them there. One picture catches Anderson and Dylan mid-dance while Horn and Crudup look on from the sofa; another finds Horn draped over the rim of the set, a glass in both hands, as the other three keep their distance.
The company was last pictured in the rehearsal room, in the first-look images released before performances began, where the full cast and creative team are listed.
Three access performances are scheduled, each at 2pm: BSL interpreted on Saturday 24 October, audio described on Saturday 7 November and captioned on Saturday 21 November.
