Julian Ovenden, Louise Dearman and Ricardo Afonso are the first performers named for West End Does: Christmas, which leaves Cadogan Hall for St Marylebone Church and gives a single concert there on Sunday 20 December 2026.
West End Does: Christmas has named the first of its 2026 performers, and has announced a change of address in the same breath. Julian Ovenden, whose credits include High Society, is joined by Louise Dearman, of Wicked, and Ricardo Afonso, of We Will Rock You. The producers say further West End casting will follow.
It is the first edition of the concert to be staged anywhere other than Cadogan Hall, which has housed every one since the series began there in December 2018 and gave the 2025 programme on Sunday 14 December. The concert now moves to St Marylebone Church on Marylebone Road, a short walk from Baker Street station, which the producer Chorus Productions describes as a new home. The company counts 2026 as the eighth year of the event.
There is one performance this year rather than the pair of afternoon and evening concerts the series has often given. Choirs from the Guildford School of Acting and the West End Does band complete the bill, and the programme sets carols alongside contemporary Christmas songs. A bar serving mulled wine and mince pies operates during the interval.
West End Does: Christmas is at St Marylebone Church, 17 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5LT, on Sunday 20 December 2026. The concert begins at 7.30pm and is expected to finish at 9.30pm. Tickets are on sale now through the producer’s own box office, priced from £16.26 to £48.78 including the booking fee.
