Booking opened on Monday for Miss Saigon at the Prince Edward Theatre, where Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Michael Harrison, will present a new production of the musical from 13 May 2027.
Miss Saigon will run at the Prince Edward Theatre for a strictly limited season, and tickets went on sale on Monday 21 September 2026. The production reaches the West End after a sell-out tour of the UK and Ireland, and is presented by Cameron Mackintosh in association with Michael Harrison.
It is the musical’s first West End season since the 2014 revival, which also ran at the Prince Edward and which we reported at the time. Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, the writers of Les Misérables, saw Miss Saigon open at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 20 September 1989, thirty-seven years ago yesterday.
The new staging is directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy, with set and costume design by Andrew D. Edwards, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Adam Fisher and projection design by George Reeve. Chrissie Cartwright and Carrie-Anne Ingrouille are co-choreographers, Graham Hurman is musical supervisor and the casting director is Sarah Leung CDG. No casting has yet been announced for the London season.
The score is by Claude-Michel Schönberg, with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and Alain Boublil adapted from Boublil’s original French text, and additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. Stephen Metcalfe has written new orchestrations, based on the originals by William David Brohn. The best-known numbers are The Heat is On, The Movie in My Mind, Last Night of the World and The American Dream.
The story begins in the last days of the Vietnam War. Kim, a seventeen-year-old forced to work in a Saigon bar run by a notorious figure known as The Engineer, falls in love with an American GI, Chris, and the fall of the city separates them. She spends the next three years trying to find her way back to him; he has no idea that she has borne his son.
Performances are Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm. The first Saturday matinee falls on 29 May 2027 and the first midweek matinee on 2 June 2027. The production lasts approximately two hours and forty minutes including an interval, and is recommended for ages 14 and over; the theatre advises that it contains scenes of a sexual and violent nature, wartime themes, firearms, drug use, strobe lighting, gunshots and pyrotechnics.
Groups of ten or more may book at £75 for Monday to Thursday performances, reduced to £67.50 for parties paying by 1 July 2026, and schools can take Grand Circle seats at £32.50 with one free teacher place for every ten students booked. Three assisted performances are already in the diary: a signed performance at 2.30pm on 11 September 2027, a captioned performance at 7.30pm on 19 October 2027 and an audio-described performance at 7.30pm on 2 November 2027.

Miss Saigon is booking at the Prince Edward Theatre from Thursday 13 May 2027 until Saturday 8 January 2028. Beetlejuice The Musical is booking at the theatre until 2 January 2027.
