Comedy double act Max & Ivan make their theatrical debut with The Wedding(s), a world premiere at Park Theatre from 27 May 2027.
Two weddings, one venue, one date. That is the mess at the centre of The Wedding(s), the first play from comedy double act Max & Ivan. It has its world premiere at the Park Theatre from 27 May - 3 July 2027. Press night is Wednesday 2 June.
The pair star too, with an ensemble of comic actors around them. Their credits include W1A, The Casebook of Max & Ivan and Deep Heat. Wildpark Entertainment presents the production in association with Park Theatre.
The setting is Winter Hall, a crumbling building that brothers Dan and Gerry have bet their life savings on turning into a wedding venue. They mean well. They are also hopeless. On opening day they discover they have booked two ceremonies for the same time and place: the high-society match between the Manleys and the Fairfaxes, and the shotgun wedding of Lizzie and Becca.
Soon there are too many guests and too little to drink. The business is on the line. So are the marriages. The production bills itself as "a farce with heart and a celebration of love in all its forms".
It is one of the world premieres in Park Theatre's 2027 season.
