National Theatre to mark its Broadway return with an Inter Alia gala as the full company is named

Rosamund Pike and Jamie Glover, who lead Inter Alia on Broadway. Photos by Oliver Kingsley and Harry Livingstone The National Theatre will mark its return to Broadway with a fundraising gala built around Inter Alia, and the producers have now named the full New York company that will join Rosamund Pike at the Music Box Theatre.

The gala is set for Tuesday 8 December, a week after the play's Broadway opening night on 1 December, and pairs a performance of Inter Alia with a formal dinner. The National's joint chief executives, Indhu Rubasingham and Kate Varah, co-host the evening with Anna Wintour, alongside Bryan Cranston, Colman Domingo and Sandra Oh. It is organised through National Theatre in America, which leads support for the NT's work in the United States, and is billed as a celebration of the theatre's legacy and its reach abroad.

The principal casting came in September, when Jamie Glover and Cormac McAlinden were confirmed to travel with Pike - we covered that announcement here. What is new is the rest of the company. The ensemble is Reece Boyle, Charlemagne Fadner, Olive Ross-Kline, Ever Brave Savage, Greta Schaefer and Corinne Sweeney, five of whom are making their Broadway debuts, and Suzy Jane Hunt, Christian Conn and Alex Serino are the standbys for the three leading roles.

Suzie Miller's play, directed by Justin Martin, begins previews on 10 November. It has already come a long way from its 2025 premiere at the National and its sold-out run at Wyndham's Theatre between March and June this year: the producers put its worldwide audience at about 600,000, counting National Theatre Live cinema screenings and National Theatre at Home. Pike's performance as Jessica Parks, the Crown Court judge at the centre of the play, won her the Olivier Award for Best Actress.

For anyone heading to New York, the production has also introduced a $45 rush and digital lottery and released a further block of $69 seats, all set out in News From Broadway's report. The London run has closed, so there is nothing to book on this side of the Atlantic for now.
