After a sold-out first performance at The Union Theatre, Jaz Terry’s solo show In My Own Little World gets a two-week world premiere run at Riverside Studios in November.
One night at The Union Theatre was enough to sell the place out. Now In My Own Little World gets a proper run. It has its world premiere at Riverside Studios from Thursday 19 to Sunday 29 November 2026, with press night on Monday 23 November.
Jaz Terry wrote the piece, directs it and performs it. The 70-minute solo show follows Jada, a young trans woman in the first stages of transitioning. It is personal and poetic, and it deals in love, identity, resilience, community and the nerve it takes to step into your own power.
“I believe your vulnerability can be your superpower, so I have certainly poured my life into this project,” Terry said.
Terry’s stage credits include &Juliet at the Shaftesbury Theatre and Little Shop of Horrors at Sheffield Crucible, and screen work includes Just Act Normal for the BBC.
The production is supported by Emmanuel Akwafo through No Name Creatives, the company behind The Black Print Concert. Akwafo, the show’s creative producer, called Terry “an extraordinary new voice, honest, poetic, and unflinchingly brave.” The rest of the creative team is still to be announced.
The show is recommended for ages 16 and over, and tickets start at £20. It is one of eight productions in the Riverside Studios winter season.
