Sir Ian McKellen, Robert Lindsay and Matt Henry are among the performers joining Bradley Walsh for Raise the Roof!, the one-night fundraiser for Denville Hall's centenary at the Victoria Palace Theatre on Sunday 1 November 2026.
Sir Ian McKellen, Robert Lindsay, Matt Henry and Emma Williams are among eleven performers now confirmed for Raise the Roof!, the gala at the Victoria Palace Theatre that marks a shared hundredth birthday for Denville Hall and Elstree Studios. Bradley Walsh, whose role as host was announced in September, will share the stage with Stefan Bednarczyk, David Benson, Michelle Collins, Bobby Crush, Jack Lane, Jeremy Secomb and Harriet Thorpe.
Ian Talbot directs the evening, with Stephen Ridley as musical director. More names and special guests are promised before the night, and every artist is billed as appearing subject to availability.
Two of the company have further dates of their own ahead. Matt Henry hosts The Actors House Christmas Songbook at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 7 December 2026, and Sir Ian McKellen leads the cast of An Ark, Simon Stephens' play for mixed reality glasses, at Aviva Studios in Manchester from 27 March to 10 April 2027.
The proceeds go to Denville Hall's £26 million Centenary Appeal. The home opened on 19 July 1926 as a refuge for retired actors and today looks after people from right across the entertainment professions. The first £13 million of the appeal will pay for two new assisted-living buildings in its grounds; the second £13 million is to found an endowment, Alfred's Fund, named after the founder Alfred Denville. Elstree Studios, a hundred years old itself this year, is presenting the evening alongside the charity.
"We look forward to an evening of fun in which the whole industry comes together to recognise those who have given so much to entertainment over the last 100 years," said Joanne Benjamin, chair of trustees at Denville Hall.
Raise the Roof! is a single performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre, 126 Victoria Street, at 7pm on Sunday 1 November 2026. Tickets start at £35 and are on sale now from the theatre's box office.
