Mischief's new farce The Comedy About Spies is now open at the Adelphi Theatre, and the notices have landed with a run of five-star reviews for the company's latest exercise in choreographed chaos.

The Times told readers to "abandon yourself to the madness", while Broadway World called the evening "a joyfully exhausting spectacle". The Theatre Reviewer dubbed the company "masters of modern day farce", and West End Best Friend found that "the comedy is relentless. The enjoyment is infectious".

Demand has already changed the schedule: an extra midweek matinee has been added on Thursday 20 August at 2.30pm. The run is a limited season that must end on 26 September, with the original West End cast in place throughout.

The opening gala drew a busy red carpet. Charlie Russell, one of Mischief's original company, said she was "beyond proud and happy", and Alexander Dragonetti, of The Traitors series one, offered: "What a great comedy. I'd highly recommend it." Bridgerton's James Phoon described the piece as "laser sharp, old school British farce", while Karis Anderson, of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, summed up her afternoon as "Sunday belly laughs?! Yes please!!"

There is more from the night on Mischief's YouTube channel, where Henry Calvert works the red carpet, alongside a backstage interview with company writers Henry Lewis and Henry Shields.
