Club NVRLND turns Peter Pan into a 2000s club night, with Diana Vickers as a runaway-bride Wendy Darling and the audience dancing among the cast at The Vaults. Here is everything you need to know before you book.
Most musicals ask you to sit still. This one hands you a drink. Club NVRLND, the Peter Pan nightclub musical that sold out every performance at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, transfers to The Vaults in Waterloo from Saturday 14 November 2026 to Sunday 31 January 2027. The company gathered for a launch night in Soho on 22 October, and the casting is complete.
Who is starring in Club NVRLND?
Diana Vickers plays Wendy Darling and George Renshaw is Peter Pan. Le Fil, the RuPaul's Drag Race UK contestant, returns to Tiger Lily, the part Le Fil played in Edinburgh, and Matthew Gent is back as Hook. Peter Caulfield plays The Crocodile and Ceili O'Connor is Tink.
Within the ensemble, Becky Bassett also plays Nana and Damian Buhagiar plays Smee. The rest of the company is Max James Hodge, Joshua De La-Garde, Elinor Morris, Ashley-Jordon Packer, Appolilly Szwarc and Natalie Yin. One thing to plan around: Vickers plays every performance in November and December, but only on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in January.
Spotlight on Diana Vickers
Most people first met Vickers on The X Factor. The stage followed quickly: her West End debut was the title role in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at the Vaudeville Theatre, and she has kept working in the theatre since, most recently in I Wish You Well at the Criterion Theatre and on the UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show, with Dial M for Murder and Steel Magnolias along the way. Television comedy fills in the rest of the CV, from Give Out Girls to Not Going Out. Wendy asks for two things at once: a pop voice that can hold a room over a club sound system, and an actor who can make a woman doubting her own wedding believable with the audience a few feet away. That is a fair description of the career so far. Vickers leads the company of Club NVRLND at The Vaults from 14 November.
What is Club NVRLND about?
Wendy Darling has grown up and is about to get married, and she bolts. The runaway bride stumbles back into Peter's world, which is now an underground club where the night never has to end. Offered the chance to write her story again, she is pulled back towards fun and reckless adventure, and has to work out whether the life she ran from was ever the one she wanted.
The format is the draw. The audience is not watching from seats but standing inside the club: you can drink and dance alongside the cast while the story plays out around you, to 2000s pop from artists including Britney Spears, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, Outkast and Coldplay. The doors open an hour before each performance, and the party carries on after it.
Who is behind the production?
The show is conceived and directed by Steven Kunis, with a book by the Olivier Award winner Jack Holden, whose plays include Cruise and KENREX. Ashley Nottingham choreographs, Suzu Sakai designs the set and costumes, Robbie Butler lights it and the sound is by Sound Quiet Time.
On the music side, Hugo Dunn-Vereker is executive music producer and arranger, Liam James handles music production and arrangements, Simon Nathan the vocal arrangements and Colm O'Regan the music supervision. Casting is by Lucy Casson, and Aida Rocci is creative producer. The producers are David Adkin, RJG Productions, Midnight Theatricals and Ley Line Entertainment, in association with NewYorkRep, People and Golden Wax Productions, by arrangement with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and Concord Theatricals.
