A Homo Alone 2: Yikes We Did It Again! is an adult musical parody that strands its hero in New York at Christmas.
Kevin has been forgotten by his family for a second time, and on this occasion he does not stay at home. With his father's credit card in his pocket he lands alone in New York City, checks himself into a smart hotel and sets about a festive season with nobody at all to supervise him. Two burglars are on his trail, the hotel manager is a character in his own right, and the whole thing builds towards Christmas Eve.
The production is the sequel to Homo Alone, the queer Christmas parody staged at The Other Palace Studio over Christmas 2024. It keeps the same format: a fast, song-driven send-up of the film it takes its name from, played by a small company in the venue's studio space in Victoria. Evening performances run from Tuesday to Sunday with matinees at the weekend, and the show lasts about two hours.
Because of the strong language and adult themes it carries a 16+ age guidance, which sets it apart from the family titles that make up most of London's Christmas theatre. Writing and directing credits for this production have not yet been announced.
The first Homo Alone was written by Bobby Delaney and Jodie Prenger and directed by Alex Jackson. Casting for the sequel has not yet been announced.
