Everything you need to know about A Homo Alone 2: Yikes, We Did It Again! at The Other Palace

The cast of A Homo Alone 2: Yikes, We Did It Again! in character. Image by Tyrone Lewis Kevin is home alone again, except this time he is in New York. A Homo Alone 2: Yikes, We Did It Again! brings the team behind the Studio's biggest hits back to The Other Palace for Christmas. Here is everything you need to know before you book.

The first one sold out. Two years on, the sequel has arrived. A Homo Alone 2: Yikes, We Did It Again! follows Homo Alone, the camp musical parody that filled The Other Palace Studio in 2024, and it runs in the same room from Friday 13 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

It is written by Jodie Prenger and Neil Hurst, the partnership whose Lovers Actually became the Studio's best-selling show ever last Christmas. Prenger is known from Coronation Street and I'd Do Anything; Hurst from Fat Friends The Musical and Casualty. The full company was announced earlier this month.

Who is starring in A Homo Alone 2?

Thomas John Stocks plays Kevin. Everyone else doubles up, and then some. Jenny Bede, from Prince Andrew: The Musical, plays Kevin's Mum, the Bird Woman and Cedric the Bell Boy. Jermaine Woods, whose credits include The Producers, takes Kevin's Dad, Harry and the Hotel Manager. Charlotte Dixon covers Buzz, Marv and Trump.

Four actors, ten characters and one studio stage. That is the format, and the quick changes are part of the joke.

What is A Homo Alone 2 about?

It takes the plot of the second film and camps it up. Kevin lands in New York City on his own, with his dad's credit card in his pocket and nobody keeping an eye on him. Waiting for him: two hopeless burglars, a hotel manager with more than a touch of The Rocky Horror Show about him, and a cameo from Trump that nobody requested.

You do not need to have seen the first one. Prenger has said as much, and the show stands on its own. Fair warning, though: it is billed as filthy fun, and fond childhood memories of the film may not survive the evening.

Who is behind the production?

The comedian Laura Checkley, known from Detectorists, directs. Philip Michael Thomas (RAGS The Musical) choreographs, and Tom Noyes (Love Quirks) is musical director and arranger. The design is by Reuben Speed, the lighting by Matt Hockley and the sound by Tom Jervis.
