Charles Court Opera brings The Mikado back to Wilton's Music Hall

Key art for Charles Court Opera's The Mikado at Wilton's Music Hall Charles Court Opera's production of The Mikado returns to Wilton's Music Hall from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 March 2027.

John Savournin, the company's artistic director, directs. The cast includes Matthew Kellett, Catrine Kirkman, Meriel Cunningham, Robin Bailey, Llio Evans, Fiona Finsbury and Matthew Palmer.

The staging moves Gilbert and Sullivan's comic opera behind the closed doors of a British Consulate, where the Lord High Executioner's scheming goes one plot too far. The score includes A wandering minstrel, I, I've got a little list and Three little maids from school.

The company's earlier Gilbert and Sullivan productions include Iolanthe and Patience. This Mikado has been called "five-star heaven" by WhatsOnStage, and The Stage gave it four stars, describing it as "a triumphant achievement both visually and musically".

The running time is 2 hours 20 minutes, including an interval. Full-price tickets cost £16.50 to £34, concessions £14 to £31.50. Booking is open at Wilton's Music Hall.

The run is part of Wilton's spring 2027 season.
