Six Kinds of Wednesday opens at the Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham on Monday 26 October and runs for three nights only, closing on Wednesday 28 October. Every performance starts at 7pm. The show lasts 60 minutes.

It is the first production from SLEAZE Theatre. Scott Slocombe set the London company up in 2025 to make original actor-musician shows with a punk rock edge. He wrote the piece and directs it, and the score is by Slocombe and Oliver Magor. The company calls it a dark comedy, driven by rock 'n' roll numbers and played by a cast who handle the instruments themselves.

The story starts in Peckham on Valentine's Day 1989. Valentine runs into April, the girl he had a crush on at school, and the pair agree to leave town together. Before they can, he is kidnapped by a vampire who has spent decades failing to finish an album. The vampire proposes a trade: if Valentine helps him complete the record, he will be sent back to the moment he and April first met, and carry on as though nothing had happened.

The four-strong company is Will Hamilton, Scott Slocombe, Polly Maltby and Edward Hole, with Maltby playing April. Hamilton, Slocombe and Hole have all worked on Elvis Evolution. Slocombe and Maltby both graduated from Mountview in 2024, where Hamilton also trained, while Hole studied actor musicianship at Rose Bruford College. Hamilton's credits include the UK tour of Stick Man, and Hole's include Fantastic Mr Fox at the Lyric Hammersmith and Leicester Curve and Return to the Forbidden Planet at Upstairs at the Gatehouse.
