The first production photos from Don Black's From The Heart are out, timed to the start of its 15-performance run at the Garrick Theatre on Thursday 8 October.
Don Black's From The Heart opens at the Garrick Theatre on Thursday 8 October, and the production has released its first photographs from the stage. The run is a short one, closing on Sunday 18 October.
The show is built from the lyricist's own songbook. New numbers written with Gary Barlow, Natasha Bedingfield, David Arnold, Debbie Wiseman and Mike Batt sit alongside the standards that made his name, among them Born Free, Ben and Love Changes Everything, plus a sequence of his James Bond themes. Black, who has an Oscar to his name, presents the evening as his tribute to the New York cabaret scene that shaped his career.
Five performers lead the company: Frances Mayli McCann, Shona McGarty, Caroline O'Connor, Clive Rowe and Michael D. Xavier. A surprise special guest also joins them at each performance.
Nick Winston directs. Joe Church is musical director, and Nick Barstow provides the arrangements and musical supervision. The production grows out of concert performances given in 2025, reworked and enlarged for this theatre run. It lasts 80 minutes with no interval and is recommended for ages 8 and over.
Booking is open for From The Heart at the Garrick Theatre, 2 Charing Cross Road, until Sunday 18 October 2026. Press night is the opening performance, Thursday 8 October 2026 at 7.30pm.
