London Theatre Company has released photographs taken behind the scenes at The Oresteia, written and directed by Simon Stone after Aeschylus and others. The production, made in collaboration with Wouter van Ransbeek, plays the Bridge Theatre until Saturday 19 September 2026.

The staging drops a contemporary family into the middle of a Greek myth and leaves them scrabbling for a way out of the destiny waiting for them. Mary-Louise Parker, a two-time Tony Award winner, plays Montie, opposite David Morrissey as Christopher, Tom Glynn-Carney as Augie and Rosie Sheehy, an Olivier Award nominee in both 2025 and 2026, as Alice.

They are joined by Lloyd Hutchinson as Melville, John Macmillan as Jerome, Archie Madekwe as Lorenzo, Alyth Ross as Jenny and Rakhee Thakrar as Chandra. The company is completed by understudies Sean Donegan, George Renshaw, Andy Umerah, Emily Waters and Kirsty Yates.

Simon Stone is joined on the creative team by set designer Lizzie Clachan, lighting designer Nick Schlieper, sound designer Peter Rice and costume designer Emma White, with music by Katrina Rose and casting by Jessica Ronane CDG. Sam Lyon-Behan is fight director and Benedict Crosby associate director. The behind-the-scenes photographs are by Danny Kaan.

Three access performances remain: an audio-described performance with touch tour on Saturday 22 August at 2pm, a captioned performance on Saturday 29 August at 2pm, and a BSL-interpreted performance on Saturday 12 September at 2pm.
