Jason Manford and Ben Nickless are back at the Opera House Manchester this Christmas, heading the cast of Dick Whittington from 5 December 2026 - 3 January 2027.
Jason Manford, the Salford-born comedian who has become a fixture of the city's Christmas season, reunites with panto regular Ben Nickless for Dick Whittington, which plays the Opera House Manchester from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.
Three familiar faces from previous Opera House pantomimes complete the principal line-up. Adam Strong plays the villain, King Rat; Landi Oshinowo is The Spirit of Bow Bells; and Sarah Vaughan plays Alice Fitzwarren.
The story follows Dick and his loyal cat as they set out to make their fortune in London, with Dick hoping to become Lord Mayor. The production borrows its sets and costumes from the London Palladium pantomime, and runs in partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester, with local support from Swizzels.
A relaxed performance is scheduled for 30 December 2026.
