Crossroads Live and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures have brought the end of the West End run of Beetlejuice The Musical forward, and the Prince Edward Theatre production will now play its last performance on Saturday 2 January 2027.
The London production of Beetlejuice The Musical will finish earlier than planned. Producers Crossroads Live and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures confirmed on Thursday that the show will play its final performance at the Prince Edward Theatre on Saturday 2 January 2027, ahead of its previously scheduled end date.
The run was sold as a limited season from the outset, so this is a shortening rather than a change of plan. It leaves the musical a little over seven months in the West End: it opened at the Delfont Mackintosh house on Thursday 28 May 2026, and will now see out the Christmas period before closing in the first week of January.
David Fynn, an Olivier nominee for School of Rock and familiar from the BBC comedy Am I Being Unreasonable, plays the title role, with Tom Xander as alternate. Hannah Nordberg, whose screen credits include HBO’s Euphoria, is Lydia Deetz, the part shared with alternate Daisy Harrison.
David Hunter and Chelsea Halfpenny play the recently deceased homeowners Adam and Barbara Maitland. Summer Strallen is the life-coaching Delia Deetz until 2 November, after which Aimie Atkinson takes over in the role through to 2 January, and Alasdair Harvey plays Lydia’s father Charles Deetz.
Also in the company are Chasity Crisp, making her West End debut as Maxine Dean and Juno, Richard Frame as Otho, Irvine Iqbal as Maxie Dean, Rachel Macdougall as Girl Scout and Vanessa Aurora Sierra as Miss Argentina, a part she had already played on Broadway. They are joined by Jemma Alexander, Samuel Bangs, Natasha Cayabyab, Chris Draper, Harley Emmitt, Catherine McCormick, Kieran Mellish, Elliott Parry, Jacob Smith, Adam Taylor, Tyler Timmins, Tommy Wade Smith and Issie Wilman.
The staging brought the Broadway creative team across with it. The book is by Scott Brown and Anthony King, the score by Eddie Perfect, with direction by Alex Timbers and choreography by Connor Gallagher. Kris Kukul handles music supervision, orchestrations and incidental music, with additional arrangements by Kukul and Perfect, and dance arrangements by David Dabbon.

Adapted from the 1988 Geffen Company film directed by Tim Burton, from a story by Michael McDowell and Larry Wilson, the musical has had an unusually stop-start life. It opened on Broadway at the Winter Garden in 2019, reopened at the Marquis in 2022 after the pandemic shutdown, and returned to the Palace in 2025 for a third engagement, running to 808 performances in New York across the three. A first national tour covered 88 US cities, and the show has since played Tokyo, Seoul, Melbourne and Abu Dhabi.
Tickets for Beetlejuice The Musical are on sale now at the Prince Edward Theatre for performances up to Saturday 2 January 2027. Evenings run Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Friday and Saturday at 2.30pm.
