BBC Radio 2 is going back to ABBA Voyage for BBC Children in Need, a year after its gala there raised more than £200,000 for the charity. This time there are two performances, at 1.00pm and 6.00pm on Sunday 8 November 2026, and both will be hosted by Vernon Kay, whose Radio 2 show is the most listened-to radio programme in the UK, with a weekly audience of 6.8 million.

The production is also putting money in directly: Claire Hoyle, chief executive of BBC Children in Need, has confirmed a donation of £300,000 from ABBA Voyage.

"Sharing the joy of ABBA's music while raising money for such a brilliant cause means the world to us, and a huge thank you to Vernon Kay for his incredible support," said the show's producers, Svana Gisla and Ludvig Andersson.

Kay said: "I'm thrilled to be hosting the BBC Children in Need gala performances of ABBA Voyage. It's an incredible show for an amazing cause, and I can't wait to welcome audiences for a very special day."

Hoyle added: "We're incredibly grateful to ABBA Voyage for their continued support of BBC Children in Need. Their generous £300,000 donation will make a real difference to children and young people across the UK, helping to make sure every child has someone by their side when they need it most. We're delighted to be working together again with BBC Radio 2 to make this year's Gala performances even bigger and more special."

Tickets for the two gala performances are available through BBC Radio 2 Events.

The show itself returns the four members of ABBA, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, to the stage as digital versions of themselves at the height of their fame, singing the hits with a ten-piece band playing live in the room. It has run since May 2022 at the ABBA Arena, a 3,000-seat venue built for it in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and more than 4 million people have now seen it. The concert lasts around 100 minutes with no interval.

The four created the concert themselves. It is directed by Baillie Walsh and produced by Gisla and Ludvig Andersson for Goldonder AB, the company founded by Conni Jonsson, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. For its third anniversary in May 2025 the setlist was expanded for the first time, bringing in Super Trouper, The Name of the Game, Money, Money, Money and Take a Chance on Me among others.

Demand has kept the run growing. Last week the production released another 170,000 tickets and took booking to 28 June 2027, and further performances continue to be added.

ABBA Voyage plays seven concerts a week, weekend matinees included, and £35 tickets for 16-25 year olds are released every month.
