Imaginative energetic a must see! by Phillippa
Theatre was beautiful and a great setting for Matilda. The set on stage was amazing with surprise upon surprise! The adaptation of the story was perfect and was a great first show for my daughter who loves roald Dahl. The chrography was outstanding especially the puppetry and the swings scene ( which was my favourite part). I had a magical experience with my daughter and my mum thank you
went on 27 october matilda is the main part expected someone with more personality and she didnt speak her lines clearly tthey were fast an mumbly there are many very good child actresses around and i paid a fortune for my seats and they were close to the front could hear everyone wlse clearly and the other children who spoke were very clear was a little disappointed considering the hype
Fantastic show! by JAYNE
Such a talented cast and a great view. So close that some of the cast nearly knocked me out of my seat! Perfect from start to finish, everyone was spellbound. Particularly impressed with the foyer staff who genuinely appeared to be happy, professional and attentive. Don't miss Matilda :)
Fabulous family show by LESLEY

Matilda by Lynda
I thought this play was going to be just like the film, how wrong was i, it was brilliant, kids were amazing and songs were great too. My 22 year old daughter was speechless she loved it
amazing show by Linda
Matilda was great from beginning to end. All actors were excellent and gave faultless performances. Matilda is going to have a fantastic career for such a young actress she was amazing and also the little black boy excuse me I forget his characters name. Thank you for an incredible enjoyable experience well done
Loud by emanuela
I knew the story so I followed it quite well. Somewhat confusing Miss Honey history, with her parents dying and coming clear towards the end. I liked the show but found the sound far too loud at times, quite disturbing.
Excellent by Sarah
Fantastic show and production! My children aged 5&6 thoroughly enjoyed the performance too and they have not stopped singing the songs since! Matilda was amazing and so so talented, well done!! And all the other actors were fantastic too. Would go to see it again it was so good.

please be on time so you wont miss a thing
Spectacular by Monica
Wonderful acting from such young children. Some very young in the audience were sat near central aisle and were a little fightenened by actors in the aisle shouting. Maybe a seat away from aisle would be better for under 8's. don't let this put you off. It's a spectacular show. The only disappointment was it has to end at some point!!
Excellent musical by Bea f.
As a 66 year old visitor I really enjoyed this musical like my 11 and 9 year old ones in our party.
You always have to be a little bit naughty by Katharina

Best in town by Katy
This is far and away the best show in the West End at the moment. The music is fantastic, the lyrics unbelievably clever, the set design amazing, fantastic choreography and wonderful performances from a brilliantly talented cast. I can't recommend it enough.
Our wonderful night out by Nannie
We took our two twelve year old grandchildren they were captivated by the production /special effects and of course the children. What little stars.
Very. Good for children by Judith
Took my 8 year old granddaughter she loved it was mesmized
Average story by Alice
Really average, nothing that keeps you glued to the show.
mike's review by Mike
Didn't know what to expect, and it was excellent. So much for children to remember; not just words and lyrics, but the moves and stage presence as well.
brill show by sheila wilkinson
If you think this show is for youngsters only (as I did) think again. We really enjoyed it the kids have amazing talent.
Family show by Pat
An adapted children's story. Not always clear if you hadn't read the book. Humourous..
Out of this world by Peter

Blew me away! by Donna

Marvellous Matilda by Katy Lamle
Everything the critics acclaimed& more. Matilda is the must see show in London!
Matilda by Sarah
It was a great show and I would highly recommend going. Sitting in the upper circle meant you sometimes didn't see what was going on the front of the stage.
So good I would not hesitate to go and watch it again. By far the best show I've seen in my life
Disappointing night out by Paul
Nothing wrong with the raw material from Roald Dahl, but the stage play was mediocre and the songs dreadful. The signing and a lot of the acting was screechy. Admittdely we did not have young children with us and are maybe a bit old for this sort of show, but it is a shadow of some of the great musicals of recent decades. To describe it as "The Musical of the Decade" is nonsense and serious over-hype.
Lively and entertaining by Sue
Sat in the upper circle and you lose sight of the actors at the front of the stage and also you could not hear the dialogue at times. However it was non stop action and singing - very enjoyable.
my disappoitment with matilda
The show was spoilt for me because the volume was up so high that words were distorted making it impossible to understand what the leading young girl was saying and since she seemed to be the story teller I had little idea what was going on.
Recommended by my daughter in her mid 20's. kids were laughing through it so clearly everyone thinks its great and come away feeling great
Fabulous show by Nic
You cannot fault the acting and music of this show. All fabulous. The sound is super - every word can be heard - and we should know as we were in row M right at the back yet the view was good and we felt involved. Hot theatre and long queues for the ladies, but the onstage action was some of the best I have ever seen .
Great show but upper circle feels a bit distant from show . Splash out for better tickets if you can afford too!
Amazing, fantastic performance by averyone. by Johanna
Even the upper circle had great seats. Don't be alarmed by big schoolgroups of children. During the performance they were as quiet as a mouse and made a lot of noise when they were alloud. (sorry for the mistakes in mij English, I' am Dutch) The show was fantastic, the lyrics, the songs en the jokes.
A wonderful surprise by veronica
This was a magic beautiful and amazing musical. I come to England From Chile and see as Manu shows as I can and tris was such a pleasure to see. i loved Dahl as a child and thiis was a perfect way of bringing back memories. I wish my kids were with me so they could see it. The best DO NOT MISS IT!!
Best ever!!! by Bea
Excellent for kids!
A brilliantly clever musical!! by Katrina
Tim Minchin really has outdone himself with the music of Matilda. He never fails to wittily entertain his audience. The cast was fantastic and worked together really well as an ensemble. Bertie Carvel gives a superb performance as Mrs Trunchbull as do the girls who play Matilda! There were many laugh out loud moments, couple with sad dramatic moments. Definitely a show, even for those who aren't particular fans of musical theatre. Roald Dahl would be proud.
