The Book of Mormon tickets – Religious satire at its best

If you're easily offended, step away from the ‘buy tickets' button! The Book of Mormon is hilariously funny. But this is fun for grown-ups, rude and irreverent, with plenty of sexual content and endless potential to offend delicate types. As such, it's restricted to age 17 and over and it's best avoided if you prefer your musical entertainment light and fluffy.

If you love South Park, you'll get the picture. The musical was written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who created the popular adult cartoon series, accompanied by Robert Lopez, the creator of the huge US stage hit Avenue Q.

This is an exercise in top class religious satire with a seriously acerbic edge. The story? Two Mormons are sent to Uganda to convert the local people. But they're met with considerable hostility, and almost everything soon goes spectacularly and hilariously wrong.

The characters? Elder Kevin Price dreams of spreading the word in Orlando, so he isn't happy being sent to Uganda. Elder Arnold Cunningham is insecure and overweight, doesn't really ‘get' his own religion, is a compulsive liar and crowbars inappropriate references to Star Wars in his teachings as often as he can. Elder McKinley is the Mormon head of the Ugandan mission, a closet gay who represses his feelings by turning them off like a light switch. Mafala Hatimbi is the tribe's leader and Nabulungi is his gorgeous daughter, who looks after the missionaries. As relationships develop, the Mormons find themselves questioning their faith, each other and everything else about the situation…

Secure The Book of Mormon cheap tickets now, via our site, and prepare yourself for an evening of naughty, provocative and wonderfully silly entertainment with award winning score, lighting, sound, direction and orchestration, winner of nine Tony awards, nominated for six Outer Critics Circle Awards and twelve Drama Desk Awards. Classy laughs!
