The Tiger Who Came to Tea has been delighting children and grow-ups since 1968, an instant hit thanks to its charming characters and thrilling plot. Now the nation's best-loved children's book is back on stage in the West End, a dangerously good story to make everyone smile.

This is a musical adaptation of Judith Kerr's wonderful book. The stage version premiered in 2008 and proved an instant winner with audiences and critics alike. A masterpiece of catchy sing-along tunes and gorgeously colourful sets, it was nominated for the Olivier for Best Family Entertainment in 2012. It has also toured extensively, with sell-out seasons in places as far-flung as Sydney Opera House and appearances on TV, a tall tale that appeals to people across the globe. It's roarsome!

The story goes like this. Sophie and her mum are enjoying their afternoon tea when the doorbell rings. It's a huge tiger, who joins them. He eats the food on the table, drinks every drop of tea, eats all the food in the house and drinks the taps dry. Then he leaves. The next day Sophie and her mum go out to buy more food, including a large tin of special tiger food. Does the tiger come back for more? Come along and see.

Directed by children's theatre genius David Wood OBE, the show's Designs are by Susie Caulcutt. The Music Arranger and Supervisor is Peter Pontzen, and the Magical Illusions are designed by Scott Penrose, ex President of the Magic Circle. Lighting design by Tony Simpson, Sound design by Shock Productions plus Assistant Direction and Choreography by Emma Clayton make the spectacle unforgettable.
