Currently in development, God Is A DJ promises pulsing dance music-inspired theatre.
God Is A DJ is on the way, a show promising a fusion of DJ tunes, a live band, and some of the world's best-loved dance hits. As every old raver knows, the name comes from the epic 1998 Faithless track God Is A DJ. Expect to revisit the good times with a unique show reimagining the powerful throb of dance music in a 'bold theatrical experience'. The word on the street is that it'll also be interactive, inviting the audience onto the dance floor.
The plot comes from an original concept by Irit Ten Hengel, exploring the ecstasy and pain of superstardom and the sheer, magical power of music. Written by Olivier winner Jessica Swale and directed by fellow Oscar winner Vicky Featherstone, Musical Direction comes from BAFTA winner Matthew Brind. Being deeply involved in the '90s dance scene himself, he'll make the flavour of these iconic times shine through.
